Job description


About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Claims Compliance Contractor to join our client's dynamic general insurance claims team. In this 12-month contract role, you’ll be an integral part of ensuring compliance within the claims department. The first six months will involve extensive data analysis, followed by direct collaboration with the Claims Compliance Manager during the latter half of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse, interpret, and present data related to complaints, incidents, and performance scorecards.
  • Prepare outsourcing reports, and quarterly/monthly overview reports.
  • Complete trust account reconciliations.
  • Investigate claims data discrepancies and conduct detailed reviews of event claims, including reserve movements.
  • Participate in the scoping and testing of reports for a claims data project.
  • Assist with non-technical audits and collate audit data into formal reports.
  • Assist with due diligence tasks related to the onboarding of secondary Third-Party Administrators (TPAs).
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Completed or currently undertaking a law degree in Australia.
  • Ability to analyse, validate, and present reports in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Understanding of the claims and dispute resolution process, though not essential.
