The Role:

The business is embarking on a journey of growth and change, and in this role, you will be instrumental in driving profitability, enhancing underwriting practices, and elevating technical capabilities.

• Collaborate closely with senior leaders across the business while overseeing a team of two technical specialists
• Champion the development and growth of individuals across the organisation, fostering continuous improvement in underwriting capabilities
• Serve as a technical expert in underwriting practices and play an active role in decision-making
• Development and maintenance of underwriting appetite, guidelines, and standards
• Promote underwriting excellence by executing a comprehensive framework for quality governance and assurance

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years experience in a management and/or technical underwriting role specifically within Property and SME Package
• In-depth understanding of Property and Package products and their associated risks, covering both short-tail and long-tail exposures
• Proven team management experience with a strong ability to guide, train, develop and inspire others on a shared journey toward success
• A confident and skilled communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively at all levels
• Forward-thinking strategist with a commercial mindset
• Passionate, motivated and dedicated to making a meaningful impact
