- Managing a portfolio of superannuation claims including Total and Permanent Disability (TPD), Income Protection (IP), Death, Terminal Illness (TI), Family Law and Early Release
- Lodging claims with insurers, tracking progress, and ensuring timely resolution
- Assessing Death and Terminal Illness claims, including performing claim staking where needed
- Liaising proactively with insurers, medical providers, solicitors, members, and beneficiaries
- Reviewing and challenging insurer decisions when required, especially in declined cases
- Preparing well-documented trustee recommendations for claims decisions
- Providing clear, compassionate communication and support to members throughout their claims journey
- Assisting with complaints or escalations related to insurance or claims decisions
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in life insurance claims, ideally within a customer-focused superannuation environment
- A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative, team-driven culture
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
