Job description

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a portfolio of superannuation claims including Total and Permanent Disability (TPD), Income Protection (IP), Death, Terminal Illness (TI), Family Law and Early Release
  • Lodging claims with insurers, tracking progress, and ensuring timely resolution
  • Assessing Death and Terminal Illness claims, including performing claim staking where needed
  • Liaising proactively with insurers, medical providers, solicitors, members, and beneficiaries
  • Reviewing and challenging insurer decisions when required, especially in declined cases
  • Preparing well-documented trustee recommendations for claims decisions
  • Providing clear, compassionate communication and support to members throughout their claims journey
  • Assisting with complaints or escalations related to insurance or claims decisions

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in life insurance claims, ideally within a customer-focused superannuation environment
  • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative, team-driven culture
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
